STARTING TODAY I WILL LOVE AND TAKE CARE OF MYSELF...

This was my thought last night when I was showering before sleep, and my thought again this morning when I took a shower.

Last night I started using MUKTI's bergamot and lavender fully organic soap. The smell is soooooooooooo good! While I was showering it's like washing away all the worries of the day! It's very relaxing and my cluttered mind began to somewhat relax, re-arrange its thoughts and focus.  Knowing I'm using a fully organic product makes me feel so much better! Finally I'm using something that is really good for my skin all-over! I usually invest on cosmetic stuff for face, neck, eyes and hands. Only for parts of the skin that are visible to other people. It feels good knowing all the products I'm using now are taking care of my whole body!

After Muay Thai session this morning, I jumped in shower and there is my bergamot and lavender soap again! Using it calmed my nerves and focused my thoughts. I feel very relaxed when I finally made it to my office desk to write this blog. Picture me out singing in the shower and smelling the soap not only once, not only twice, but again and again and again!

I'm applying some more of the pink grapefruit lotion in my knees, elbows and shoulders as I'm writing this blog. Simple pleasures indeed! It teases the senses and a good relaxation technique. I think I will make this a habit. It is very cool to the skin and very calming! And 'matipid!' It spreads easily on the skin, gets absorbed right away, no oily or 'lagkit' after-feel.


My promise to myself today?! I will start taking better care of myself. And I will use only products that are good my skin. 'Good' in a way that there are no chemicals that are harsh and harmful to my body. (Visit www.safecosmetics.org for lists of harmful chemicals usually found in commercial cosmetic products.) I will use only organic soaps, organic shampoos and conditioners, organic body lotions, etc. Tonight, I'll be cleaning our toiletries and replacing everything with organic products.

TOTAL DETOX PATCHES

So last week I tried one of our newest products from FUSHI. The TOTAL DETOX PATCHES.

This is the first time I tried doing detox. I've always wanted to do detox but whenever I hear of someone doing it, it seems so complicated and restrictive. So when I saw we have these patches that are super easy to use and supposedly are very effective, of course I grabbed the opportunity! All I have to do is stick it to the soles of my feet before I sleep, leave it on the whole night and voila!!! Detox express! Easy-breezy!

The packaging has a "body purity monitoring chart." It helps the user measure the results of the detox programme by matching the colour of the patch to the chart. Brown* is for toxic overload. Dark green* is high circulation of toxins. Green* is toxin levels could be lower. Lighter green* is good detoxification and elimination. Lightest green* is clean as you get!

(* Not sure of the pantone colors, but the darker it gets the more toxins you have. Yay!)

As you can see, the colors are brown from Day 1 to Day 5. Scary right?! I was so surprised! And here I thought I am living a healthy life! Well what do I expect? 30 years of just taking in all the toxins from all the chemicals in my cosmetic products, foods, etc! I should not be surprised!

I don't really know how it works. I am yet to research about this. But what's more important to me are the very noticeable results, which a lot of our loyal customers have noticed as well! My face is clearer! (Partly thanks to 100% Organic and Pure Moroccan Argan Oil of course!) Most of our SUKIs (Tagalog word for loyal and regular customers) in Karl Edwards Bazaar and Mercato Centrale have pointed this out and asked what did I do over the week to have such improvement. Well I must say, I've been using the Moroccan Argan Oil since January 2011. It has really helped clear my cystic acne and acne blemishes a lot! But as much as I want to credit all this to pure unscented 100% organic Moroccan Argan Oil, I cannot deny that my skin has significantly improved after using the detox patch. Even my hair has a different bounce!

Detoxification is known to help in enhancing skin radiance, regulating sleep and increasing energy levels.

We have another customer in Karl Edwards who bought the TOTAL DETOX PATCHES yesterday (Saturday). She used it last night. This morning she was telling me how she's not bloated anymore. And her gas build-up feels way much better as she's been releasing the gas whole morning which according to her was really difficult before.

Another customer bought last week and came back this morning with her YOGA friends. She's been telling them about how this TOTAL DETOX PATCHES has helped her and how she feels so much lighter after the 5-day detox. For reasons unknown to her, she said she used to feel tired most of the time. Her friends went there to buy, unfortunately our last 2 packs have been bought like 10 minutes before they arrive! So there you go! I think next time I'll ask our customers (if I'm not shy!!!) to write their testimonials in a nice scented notebook so I can just scan it and post in this blog (with their permission).
